The Mega Mel Showdown
The Big Love Burger contest has been heating up. As people attempt to create the BLB, they have been inspired other works of burger art. One reader that calls himself "The Big Sexxy" (not sure it the double x was necessary) told me about the Mega Mel Burger. The Big Sexxy even sent a picture of himself attempting to devour this gastronomic beauty. Behold.....
I love that my man is using the Diet Coke as a chaser. Here are the specs on the Mega Mel -
1.5 pounds of fresh ground
1 pound of bacon
.25 pound of American cheese
lots, lots of lettuce, tomatoes, onions & pickles
This beast of a burger can be found at Mel's Country Cafe in Tomball, Texas.
The Big Sexxy has proposed to hold a Full Figured Showdown at Mel's. He is challenging anyone who thinks they are genetically advanced to try to get there name on Mel's wall. Here are the Mega Mel rules-
The Rules are Simple
1. If you leave anything on your plate, you will be disqualified.
2. If anyone takes anything off your plate, you will be disqualified.
3. You must be able to walk and talk after eating the Mega Mel Burger.
4. If you get sick at any time, you will be disqualified.
5. You have 2 hours to eat the Mega Mel Burger.
6. We will stop you from eating if at anytime we feel you are going to get sick.
7. The most important thing is to remember that the Mega Mel Burger is a fun event at Mel's Country Cafe, so please have fun with it.
We are looking to see how many full figured fellas are willing to step up to the plate. We are in negotiations with Massive Mel to see when the showdown will be held. It is rumored that he first needs to reinforce the floor to withstand the evolutionary elite that plan to attend. Stay tuned for further details and start stretching your stomachs.
